M° Mangieri Musicista, compositore e direttore d’orchestra STATE ASCOLTANDO When I meet you Founded in Naples in 1903 by Francesco Curci, it involved initially in selling musical instruments.   It was in 1912 that the Curci brothers, Pasquale and Achille, made the company a great publishing house.  In short time, in fact, the Curci took a leading role in the promotion of classical music and Italian folk, expanding its  activities beyond the borders of the country and taking advantage of two new offices, located in Rome and Milan.  In 1938, the company passed to Pasquale’s sons: Giuseppe, Alberto and Alfredo. The first, of great organizational skills, the  latter, great musicians and lyricists, graduated from the Conservatory of San Pietro a Majella.   In 1950, Giuseppe Ricci Gramitto became manager of the company. He is credited with having discovered and launched  Domenico Modugno (winner of Sanremo Festival in 1958 and 1959), and having successfully launched new editions of  music (Accordi, Asso, Cervino, etc..).  Giuseppe's son, Alfredo Ricci Gramitto, is now responsible for the Curci. A worthy heir of his father, he continues to keep up  the name in Italian music scene.
