M° Mangieri Musicista, compositore e direttore d’orchestra IMMORTALITY OF ART If you ask a young man who is Vasco Rossi, the answer is swift and clear. It is less so, for example, to Bob Dylan. It is not at instead for Achilles Togliani,  Giacomo Rondinella, Giorgio Consolini, Roberto Murolo and many others.  Not to mention tenors such as Mario Del Monaco and Beniamino Gigli, of conductors such as Angelini and Segurini, and writers such as Mario Soldati and  Carmelo Bene, the record companies as the Curci and Record ...  Well, these big names from the past, return to this site in order to recreate their art, awakening the memory of those who have not yet forgotten and the  interest of those who ever known them.  When some guys I know have heard Varca Lucente, on You tube finding a beautiful interpretation of Ugo Calise, many of them have enthusiastically  appreciated it. The same thing happened with La Samacurca, and will be, or at least I hope, for all that has been included in this site.  It will be the young, once disseminated knowledge of pop and classical Neapolitan music, with their new sensitivity, to reinterpret something good that  comes from afar. After reviewing this material, whoever wants to, for curiosity or real study, may contact the competent authorities to obtain other  information, by RAI, SIAE and the various record companies.  Unfortunately, the works of M. Mangieri still do not have their own space on the web, and also You tube contains a small part of them.  It's true, it would be nicer to go into a shop and buy easily a real disk of Mangieri, one of the "old CDs" that, beyond the cost that includes copyright and  sponsors, you can keep in your room, listening whenever you want.  Yes, a real CD, worth more than a hundred songs downloaded on your PC and immediately dispersed ...  It would be really sad for the musician, the singer, the conductor and the record companies themselves, if ART, VOICE, and direction should die, bartering  the concreteness of their "old" media with modernity ephemeral virtual sequences. The media change, it is true, and this site is a manifestation. But  remember that the instruments are worth little if their products do not provide a long life, which remains accessible to all.  ART grows and changes, but it's still art.
